Open Loyalty's new Product Catalog feature lets you upload your product data and reward customers for purchasing an individual product, category, or brand, without maintaining a separate campaign for every SKU and membership tier combination.

The problem

Rewarding customers differently depending on which product they buy is standard practice in retail and CPG loyalty programs. In practice, it means creating and maintaining a separate campaign for each product and tier combination, a setup that becomes unmanageable the moment the catalog grows past a few dozen items.

A retailer with 150 active SKUs and three loyalty tiers is managing hundreds of near-identical campaigns to achieve what should be a single rule.

As a result, teams either accept the maintenance burden, move point logic into the storefront (where it drifts out of sync with the loyalty platform), or give up on per-product rewards altogether once the catalog outgrows what's manageable by hand.

The solution

Product Catalog removes that ceiling. You upload your catalog and Open Loyalty keeps it as structured reference data for your campaigns. The upload uses a flexible CSV file, with SKU, name, category, brand, price, and any custom attributes your program tracks.

Once your catalog is in place, a new campaign type lets you set rewards for specific SKUs or groups of them.

Scope by category, brand, or attribute. Set different point values or multipliers for different membership tiers in the same campaign. Enable bundle mode to reward the purchase of a product set as a whole. Add entry conditions like a minimum quantity or minimum order value for the selected products.

One campaign, configured once, automatically applies to every product that matches its conditions, no matter how large the catalog grows.

The catalog stays read-only inside Open Loyalty. You keep your ERP or PIM as the source of truth for product data and import a CSV to keep the loyalty platform current. Open Loyalty becomes the single place loyalty-specific point rules are configured, without becoming a second product database.

"The moment a catalog grows past a few dozen products, per-SKU rewards stop being a configuration task and start being an operations problem. Product Catalog turns it back into a five-minute setup."

Natalia Kalkowska, Product Manager
