Batch import coupons from third-party platforms

Loyalty mechanics

Open Loyalty allows you to run personalized and targeted coupon campaigns. Coupons can be created or imported from other systems to reward customers for performing activities relevant to your business.

What's new

Admins can now add multiple coupons at once from external sources by uploading a CSV file.

Why it matters

The upload mechanism works for high-volume imports, allowing users to quickly import several coupons from third-party software.

Trigger campaigns with different wallets

Loyalty mechanics

Loyalty programs benefit from digital wallets created with the help of Open Loyalty. The feature supports multiple wallets with various currencies, such as points, dollars, and stars.

What's new

Admins can now create campaign conditions with different wallet types,

Why it matters

Many complex loyalty programs have multiple concurrent wallets, such as Stars, Gold Coins, and Points. Now, each campaign can be triggered with specific wallet conditions. For example, only send Black Friday coupons to users with at least 15 Gold Coins (no matter their other balances).

Downgrade tiers every x months

Loyalty mechanics

Loyalty members can receive tiers based on spending, points collected, and time since they joined the program in initiatives managed by Open Loyalty. That makes the tier feature an alluring reward center.

Tiers can have recalculation rules, meaning users who don’t meet their requirements are downgraded periodically.

What's new

Admins can set up automatic tier downgrades x months after each user’s promotion.

Why it matters

Tier downgrading helps to create a sense of urgency in the program. By creating tiers that require constant attention, the users will perceive higher tiers as even more exclusive.

Achievements updates - Streaks and more

Loyalty mechanics

Achievements are one of the most popular gamification features of Open Loyalty. It’s possible to set challenges with goals based on transactional data, customer behavior, or activity streaks, driving business results.

Tiers can have recalculation rules, meaning users who don’t meet their requirements are downgraded periodically.

Achievements received three major updates this past quarter:

1. Easier streak setup

It’s now easier to create and validate streak achievements after it received a user interface refresh, including dynamic help text. Streaks replace the previously named “Consecutive” achievements.

2. Track unique values of custom attributes

It’s now possible to track progress for each new unique value in custom event attributes.

For example, consider an achievement “Purchase five purses”. You can configure it so that the member has to buy:

  • Any five purses (no additional setting)
  • Five different purses (set with the unique custom event: SKU)
  • At least one purse of five different brands (set with the unique custom event: brand)

For example, if an achievement depends on the progress of 5 new events, you can choose to track unique values from a specific attribute (included in the custom event data).

3. View users’ achievement trigger history

It’s now possible to view the list of events that contributed to a member's achievement progress directly from their profile.

Time-saving features

Finally, this past quarter, Open Loyalty received multiple quality of life features that will speed up the work of admins and other users.

1. “What’s new” in the admin panel

Users now have a preview of the latest OL additions right from the admin panel.

2. Info panel with helper text

The more comprehensive OL received info panels on the right of the screen.

These text boxes contain helpful information and documentation links, cleaning the primary interface for power users and making it easy for first-time users to understand each field and concept

A series of screens – from achievements to campaigns – already received the panels and more are planned.

3. Streamlined referral campaigns and automations

Both referral campaigns and automated campaigns received their dedicated tabs for organization.

This small but essential change helps users manage each campaign type more effectively.

4. Single-member view revamped

Checking information about individual users became faster with the revamp of the single-member view. Key details are now accessible at a glance via the drawer panel, minimizing the number of clicks necessary. The layout mirrors the menu structure, making navigation more intuitive and streamlined.

This change comes as a request from customer support staff who use Open Loyalty and browse individual profiles frequently.
